WeChat sticker rules: stickers, banner, cover and icon
WeChat's sticker platform asks for 8 to 24 stickers, each 240×240 pixels and at most 500 KB, animated ones as looping GIFs, plus a 750×400 detail banner, a 240×240 transparent PNG cover and a 50×50 chat panel icon. The other rules
- An album has any number from 8 to 24; all animated or all still.
- Animated stickers loop smoothly.
- One style across the album, each sticker distinct, without too much empty space.
- Images over the size or file limits are compressed and cropped by the platform.
- Cover and icon: transparent, with no white outline, no white background and no square frame; no text in the banner.
- The album name is up to 8 Chinese characters (5 or fewer reads best), with no punctuation; each sticker's meaning word is up to 4 characters, none repeated.
- A sticker that is mostly words needs real motion or drawing; meaningless zooming, shaking or blinking does not pass review.
- Single stickers (one image) do not currently accept portraits, such as photos or portraits of people.
Copyright and likeness
- The work must be your own or one you hold the copyright to.
- A person's likeness: proof of their identity, and if you are not them, their signed likeness authorization.
- A minor: the guardian's identity and relationship proof as well.
